Space 48 head office is moving to Manchester

You may have already heard the exciting news, but just in case you haven’t… Space 48’s head office is moving to Manchester city centre – a buzzing hive of digital in the North!

#InvadingMCR

The acclaimed home of music, football, and now, digital tech too. The Tech Nation report (http://technation.techcityuk.com/cluster/manchester/) showed that, in 2016, Manchester was one of the UK cities at the forefront of global digital innovation. With a digital GVA of £2.8 billion, digital tech turnover of £2.9 billion and just under 900 startup births, Manchester came top of the stats after Reading and London. We’re looking forward to joining companies such as Manchester Digital, UKFast and Apadmi, who are major names within the Manchester community and are paving the way for other companies in the industry.

A sneak preview for the Space48ers

Jon Woodall (Founder and Managing Director of Space 48) and Tony Brown (Technical Director), recently invited the team to see the new space ahead of the fit out and to get their input on some of the plans. The team were blown away with the surrounding views of Manchester and can’t wait to enjoy their new workspace – with much more room than our current office and a cool new design! An extensive fit out is underway and is set to transform what is an already a spectacular space in the heart of St. Anne’s Square, in time for the final move in September.

“It’s the growth of Space 48 that has enabled us to make the move, and ultimately it’s down to the great team that we have.” Jon Woodall, Space 48 Managing Director

Stronger connections

At Space 48, we strongly believe in knowledge sharing and thrive on giving back to our community. As the creator of Mage Titans (a leading Magento developer conference), we will now have the space and facilities to hold training events and workshops within our office. This investment in training will not only benefit our employees but will also offer a space for collaboration for the wider community. The interior plans also include various breakout areas and communal living spaces, where employees can relax and take some time away from their desk.

We’re hoping to expand our team of Magento developers and ecommerce consultants and continue the growth of Space 48. Better access to transport links means our new office will be easier to commute to, which will support these expansion plans and encourage more graduates to join our graduate scheme. This will also benefit our partners, customers, and any new brands we may build relationships with going forward.

Coming soon!

For our partners, customers and friends who would like to take a look at our new space, we’re looking forward to inviting you to our office launch party for a night of celebrations (date to follow). In the meantime, keep your eye on the #InvadingMCR hashtag for all of our office updates, and here’s a sneak preview.
